As part of the ‘week 3’ rotating series, its time to take to the pitch! Hitch up your pads and get ready to scramble for that ball, go around or go through the opposing team as takes your fancy. After all, those Elves might be more nimble and flashy than you, but if half of them are sitting in the infirmary at the end of half time, there’s not much left to defend against your Ork’s crushing blitz in the second half!

Blood Bowl is a game of fantasy ‘American’ football. 2 teams primarily try to kick, throw and catch the ball into your opponent’s endzone to score a touchdown. Obviously, this being from the zany minds of the people behind Age of Sigmar and Warhammer 40,000k, there is plenty of scope for carnage, legally (and illegally) tackling your opponents into the floor, sticking the boot in and maybe even the odd hidden dagger or two. After all, if the Referee doesn’t see it, anything goes right?

For this event we will be hosting a Swiss-league Blood Bowl tournament over 3 rounds with playoff decider for the winner if needed. Entry for this one is free, if there is sufficient interest and excitement we will look at getting a Just Games engraved tankard or similar trophy for the next one.
Each round is 2 hours and fifteen minutes, with a 15 minute break between rounds. If, with one hour remaining, you have not reached the second half of your game, a chess clock may be implemented to attempt to speed up play.
Win = 2 points
Draw = 1 point
Loss = 0 points.

Also track touchdowns and star-player-point scoring casualties to be used as tie-breakers.

We will be using the basic NAF tournament rules and tier list to determine teams. This means teams are effectively ‘bought’ for the tournament itself as new players and no existing league teams are allowed (you can use the same minis of course, just make a new team sheet for them).
